(A tribute to the victims and their families – August 23, 2010)
Life
Life dripped away behind the glass
The sands of time in an hourglass
Whispering winds could tell fairy tales
But nobody knew what time would tell
What turned out to be any August day
Fate struck our kin in a tragic way
Now etched in our hearts as a remembrance day
May their souls find peace, for that we pray
For the seeds of hatred that has been sowed
Let these emotions wither, else bad blood will flow
The world we live in is an uncertain one
Make yours count, second to none
For the victims and their families, there are no words that I can use to offer my condolences. But know that I will share your grief as long as it is yours.
